At the Clarence City Band we recognise that choosing and purchasing an instrument can be complex and expensive. Because we don’t want this to stop you from playing we own a selection of instruments. As part of our beginner program these can be tried out for free. If you find an instrument that clicks for you it can be hired at a very reasonable rate.
Most beginners find that they soon want to purchase their own instrument. This is supported and encouraged as it puts the hired instrument back into circulation for someone else to have a try.
Subject to availability the following instruments may be available for beginning players:

- Tenor Saxophone
- Trumpet / Cornet
- Baritone
- Euphonium
- Trombone
- Bass Guitar
- Percussion (Snare drum, Bass drum, Timpani, Glockenspiel, Xylophone)

- Tenor horn
